Liz Bonnin enters the world of Big Animal Surgery. Even for the world’s leading vets, caring out surgery on Lions, Chimpanzees, and Elephants can be a complex and dangerous task.

This new series follows Liz as she travels from the mountains of Uganda to the rainforests of Sierra Leone and on to a zoo in Tbilisi, Georgia, to witnessing the challenges of operating on wild animals. Alarmingly, the vets often don’t know what the problem is until they arrive in the operating theatre.

Shadow provided all design and animation for the series, creating over 25 effects shots, and collaborating with anatomy sculptor Jun Huang to go beneath the skin of these animals in incredible detail.
